Our Mission
The Weekend Bag Program Inc. is a kid-founded and run 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We provide students with food and hygiene items for weekends—essentials they otherwise wouldn't have. The program runs the full 10-month school year, delivering a Weekend Bag each week, while keeping recipients anonymous so as not to add any additional stress on the student.
How We Work
School administrations appoint a liaison to partner with our team. The liaison identifies students who would benefit most and informs us of bag needs. All changes and coordination flow through the Weekend Bag Program team and school liaison.
Program Impact
We offer two bag types: one for homeless students heading to shelters or foster care, and a full food/hygiene bag for others. Volunteers deliver bags weekly to schools, where liaisons discreetly distribute them to participating students.
